This paper aims to study the non-trivial relationship between green supply chain management (GSCM) and economic performance. Using an empirical evidence from Colombian manufacturing companies, we develop a second-order structural equation model (SEM) correlating eight major green processes versus some economic performance indicators. Experimental results support that the GSCM practices can significantly influence firms to go in improving the economic performance. However, the gathered information provided evidence to assure that green marketing and green human resource management are not strongly related with the economic performance of the firms.
