Abstract

AR is seen as innovative, failure, time and cost saving technology, with a tenfold increased market share during the next five years. Scientific literature reviews and documentation is made as well as empirical AR investigations in self-assembly to reach the mentioned objectives. In Augmented Reality, the real world is augmented with artificial virtual content. For the viewer, the real and virtual world is merged. Image acquisition, tracking, registration and display are the internal processes in AR hardware solutions. A AR assembly assistance in the scale 1:1, where the next assembly steps are shown in 3D directly at the parts, was developed.
