DALIA - (Assitant for Daily Life Activities at Home)

DALIA (Assistant for Daily Life Activities at Home) will provide an integrated home system that supports older adults as primary end-users, offers support to their informal carers as secondary end-users, and can be extended to interface with services of formal care and medical services. A personal virtual assistant (PVA) will assist the older adults mastering their daily life tasks. Informal Carers will be supported by the PVA in learning and orientation about care.

The development includes extensive end-user involvement and the evaluation of prototypes. New service models may rise as outcome of the project. The School of Applied Health and Social Sciences as research partner in this European AAL (Ambient Assisted Living) project will lead the end-user requirements elicitation and develop suitable evaluation tools and surveys as well as new business service models.
