Video Aided E-Learning: Maximizing the Benefits

Short educational videos were created to supplement more traditional materials, such as lecture notes and assignments, on the moodle e-learning platform. Four different courses with a total of 200 students were involved. A questionnaire and test were administered. Videos were also analyzed for pedagogical aspects. While the videos significantly enhanced the attention of the students, they did not affect the final grade for the courses. The pedagogical aspects can help maximize the benefits for diverse student needs.
